I used to Work for Marriott and one of my jobs as "Guest Service Agent" at a
Bethesda hotel was to go over to Bill Marriott's house and park cars for his
holiday party. His house was an automobile enthusiasts dream. Each bay of
his garage (which is attached to his living room) was filled by some classic
car or another. There were at least 4 60's era Ferraris, a 30's era
Mercedes K and a 300SL Gullwing amongst others. Apparently he has/had no
less than 35 Ferraris in another location as well. He had/has a full-time
mechanic and he hired drivers to take his cars to vintage races. My mother
worked for Marriott HQ and almost always saw him driving into work (as frail
as he was) in one of the most sought after Ferraris ever produced.

A co-worker friend of mine owns a '85 Ferrari Testarossa which he drives to
work on a regular (3 or 4 days a week) basis. He was even silly enough to
let me take it for a drive.... without him in the car! He is a true
enthusiast who enjoys the car for it's driving characteristics not because
only X number were made or it has the right name badge on the hood. He even
practices his driving on a track at high speed.

I saw photographs of people in vintage races who destroyed Ferraris that
were like one of three ever built. I respect that! Take the risk. It was
meant for it!
