Yeah...there's nothing like the "chuffing" sound of steam power at work,
whether it's a steam traction engine or a locomotive. As a boy we lived
about a half block from the railroad and late at night I'd listen to the
fast freights as they came through town and their whistles as they
approached the grade crossings, and wonder what interesting places they
could take me. There's not nearly so much romance in the sound of
today's diesels. ;>)
