what width paper will the 850 take btw? ann On 4/17/2015 12:11, paul stenquist wrote:
I’ve been using the 850 scanner for a week or so now, scanning some medium format negs just to see what it can do. I bought a third-party film holder for medium format. It has anti-newton ring glass and flattens out the negs nicely. This pic is from a 2002 shoot with the 6x7 and the Pentax 165/4 leaf shutter lens. Flash fill from a small umbrella. I scanned it at 6400. That yields a file big enough to make a 48-inch wide print at 360 dpi. I downsized it to make a 13 x 19 prin. Looks great. Here’s a web sized image: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18003004&size=lg And a tighter crop: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18003003&size=lg BTW, I was unable to post for a week or more, but Doug seems to have fixed it. Seemed the server had me pegged as a spammer. Paul
