Thanks Mark. I was 40 and working in New York in late 1988. And I saw this very car when it was brand new. It was part of the Chevrolet east-coast press fleet, and it spent most of its time parked in the Coliseum Garage on Columbus Circle. I occasionally borrowed a car from Chevrolet and would pick it up at the garage. This Camaro was usually sitting there, because the Chevy PR guy hoped to buy it went it was out of service, so they rarely let journalists drive it. He did end up buying it and just recently sold it to the current owner. It has only 23,000 miles on the clock. It was one of just 111 out-the-back-door cars that Chevrolet built for the SCCA Escort road racing series.
