It appears to me a more even light would solve some of these issues.

I like the flowers, but I agree with Jack that the photo would benefit from a bit of a punch. I don't know what would work better: just bringing up the highlights or bringing up the exposure.
I also would consider applying "unsharp" mask (aka "presence" in LR)
and/or slightly bumping up the contrast.

I would also consider giving just a bit more space at the bottom (and then proportionally at the top).
