What I find on so many photography lists and forums is that whenever the manufacturers announce something new, people go out of their way to whine, bitch, and moan about the manufacturer, the new product, the old products, the prices, the policies, … whatever.
Hat's off to you: You folks are so much better complainers than I am. Me, I am nearly always surprised and delighted when Adobe, Pentax, Leica, Nikon, or Olympus announce a new product. Because my experience has been in nearly all cases that the new product was an improvement on the old, even if I didn't need it. I've not had a lot of time to work with LR6 just yet. But my initial reactions are simple: it's faster at import/export/rendering 1:1, the new panorama/HDR tools are nice, and they continue to offer it as a perpetual license/standalone product *as they said they would.* The five photos I've processed and exported using it look great. I paid my $80, downloaded and installed on two systems, and it's working without a hitch. The rest of the folderol all'y'all are going on about … I don't know what to make of it.
