Sorry, I might sound like a contrarian in this case, but I am not thrilled
with this portrait. Technically it is fine, and the lady is pretty.
But, as you wrote previously, - a great facial expression is very
important. In this case the face is a bit too tense. It is rather subtle,
but makes this portrait sort of "formal", as in a passport photo.
This frequently happens with the posed portraits.
And the fact that she is directly looking into the camera makes this
effect (tension) even stronger.
Background imperfections are secondary, but unfortunate.
If this photo were mine, I'd slightly darken the bright white window(?)
behind the woman on the right and even the horizontal white stripes on the
left. I am not sure what to do with the thing "growing" on her head.
I'd consider slight darkening or cloning it out.
I would even consider replacing the entire background with something
neutral (in PS, via mask layer[s]).
