The Moscow Metro is perhaps the most beautiful subway system in the
world. When we visited Russia several years ago, we spent a bit of
time in the Metro, visiting the stations that were most famous for
their unique designs. It was quite enjoyable. The escalators are so
long, so steep and so fast that they should be classified as amusement
rides!

Today I had my first experience on the Tokyo subways. They are
efficient, but lack the charm of the Moscow Metro. I have traveled
the suways of New York, DC, Paris, London Rome, and several other
cities, but none come close to the Moscow Metro.
