I was impressed some years ago when we visited the Mississippi locks at the Rock Island Arsenal. On the maps of the waterway was the name of Robert E. Lee - the surveying officer for the maps. A blue collar kind of guy from Galena, IL. ultimately got the better of him in the war. Regards, Bob S.
