I'm sort of embarrassed to say that (3 days after saying I was not aware of the 24mm f3.5) I now realize that I own the S-M-C Takumar version of it, which is apparently has been the same optical formula from Super Takumar to K version. I don't think I've ever even had it on the camera. After looking at some images and examples, I think I'm going to have to change that and see if my copy is as sharp as many say.
