I'm expecting my PZ-1 back from Pentax in Colorado today; I bought it
used just a couple of months ago and sent it in primarily to replace
the viewfinder eyepiece, which had multiple scratches on it in a
rectangular pattern. I know this is typical of the PZ-1/PZ-1p
eyepiece, since it is plastic, unfortunately, and not glass.

My question is, for other Z- and PZ-series owners: How do you clean
the eyepiece without scratching it? Or do you clean it at all?

Also, on another note: One of the few advantages the PZ-1 has over
the 1p (at least for some users) is the interval timer function. I'm
wondering what people have used it for. What are some really
interesting applications for this timer function?
