I find those shots scary - (not the photography, don't ya know, but what
those kids are doing.) In my minds eye I'm seeing the sequence where
a couple of clicks later he is in a heap on the pavement with broken
limbs askew.... seems like senseless childish bravado and life threatening.
sigh.

Another great action shot, Frank. I love the way you caught him in
the air approaching the rail.

This is not the best shot the day (I think that goes to Tailwhip,
posted yesterday), but it's sort of a follow-up to Monday's Mike on
the Rail:

I was trying to explain to Jack why the stunt is hard, and maybe
seeing how he has to mount does visually what I couldn't textually.
As you can see the left peg of the rear wheel will be on the rail. To
get the right peg on the rail Mike has to bring the front wheel way
above the rail and land it "just right" so that right peg slides up
the rail.
The end result is the rider sliding up the rail on his axle pegs, not
using the pegs on the same side as usual, but on either side of his
bike:

There's a name for this stunt but Mike hasn't answered my email request yet.
Hope you enjoy (the picture, if not the prolix post). Comments always welcome.
Cheers,
frank
