i don't know these specific lenses, but from experience with the DA 15 i know it is pretty hard to blow the focus; the hyperfocal distance at f/4 on a 14mm lens is 8.1 ft; at f/2.8 it's 11.4 ft and at f/2 it's 16.1 ft
