I prefer the first one, where Bambi is looking at you , by a lot. It's much more interesting and the framing of his/her head in the OOF foliage makes it above average, I think. the blown-out highlights on the very bottom edge could be darkened a bit to be less distracting, but otherwise it's a lovely shot. "Unusual" is sometimes overrated.

Neither of these two shots is unusual. But I cannot figure out which one

I like the one of it looking between the OOF weeds, it turns the weeds into a compositional element rather than a distraction.



There are quite a few of such deers wandering in our area (and they keep
eating my roses!), but it is the first time I see a one this small alone.
