The only Sigma 24mm for Pentax that my search turned up is this one on
Amazon, but the little "Will This Work with Your Camera?" widget on the
page says it won't work with any of the Pentax Cameras I tried (K10D,
K20D, K3).
I think the widget must be screwed up, otherwise what would be the point
of selling a lens for Pentax cameras that won't work with any of the
Pentax cameras that are out there?
FWIW, I browsed the other mounts. There's no widget for Canon,
Olympus/Panasonic or Sigma mounts. For Minolta/Sony and Nikon mounts the
widget says "No the lens will not work" without even giving the
opportunity to select a camera.
Only the Pentax/Samsung version of the widget allows you to actually
select a camera before telling you it won't work with that camera.
Suggested purely for its amusement value.
I noticed this and it's even more amusing, (read frustrating), trying
how to notify Amazon of a problem with their systems. I've tried, and
been, told several times, that I sent, or posted the information in the
wrong place. No one seems to know the right place to notify however so...
Somewhere in their menus is a button you can click to have them call
you. You can talk to a real live person (who might even be somewhere in
the United States) & then it's their problem. But, I think you have to
sign in to your Amazon Account to find it.
OTOH, I suppose you could just leave a review on the page & let Amazon
figure it out.
I already have a pretty good idea that it should work with my camera.
FWIW, I ran the same search on Amazon for the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC
Lens for Pentax, which I have and which *DOES* work with all of my
Pentax DSLRs, and the widget gave me the same results.
