Remember those flea market lenses I picked up a couple weeks ago.
I finally got around to trying them on my camera. I didn't notice that
the Vivitar that had the contacts for the aperture was a PK-A/R mount.
When it stuck on the K-5, I grabbed a feeler gauge from the garage,
tried slipping it in between the lens and the body, but didn't have much
luck. A bit of googling found something that referred to this:
If you get a Ricoh lens jammed on your camera...
If you do get a Ricoh lens stuck on your Pentax camera you can often
remove it by inserting a thin feeler gauge between the lens and mount on
the lower right-hand side (with the camera pointing towards you) and
working it around until you get it between the flange and the offending
protrusion. It can take a long time but you will usually (usually!) be
able to get the lens off.
Following that guidance with the feeler gauge worked. The handy URL:

Thanks Mark!
Anybody want to buy a couple of "A" lenses? :-)
