Adobe seems to be on a power-play streak.
We recently discussed their new arm-twisting decisions about LR and pushing people into the Cloud.

I just discovered that the new Adobe Reader DC has the autoupdates
enabled by default and the option/preference to disable them is removed.

The only way (unless you are willing to install some additional crap from Adobe) to disable autoupdates is to create a new register key value:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown]

"bUpdater"=dword:00000000

If you are interested, - you can read more about it here:

I disabled it via the registry for now, but it might be the time to replace it with one of the alternatives (Foxit, Sumnatra, etc.).
I do not tolerate autoupdates, especially on my work machine.

I hope this information might be useful to some people here.
