Anyone else ever have a problem with Pentax flashes and broken or

Seems a poor design. WAY too much spring action on the batteries makes
for a very tight door, breaking the plastic guides.

I haven't run into that with the flash, but I did have the memory card
door on my *ist-D fail at the hinge. I didn't break it; I heard a sudden
"ting" noise & it was gone.

I was fortunately able to find where it had fallen & duct tape did hold
it in place until I could get a replacement.

If duct tape is too ugly, try clear package sealing tape.
