You mean you've never heard of the Northern Tree Kangarippo, its close relative
the Cackling Hipporigar or the iconic Kookapotamus?

There's an entire genus of marsupial hippopotamoids in Northern Territory which
are thought to descend from the pet hippos brought by the original human
settlers when they sailed from West Africa in their dugout stone pirogues.

David Attenborough's always making bloody programmes about them, and here in
the UK you can hardly shove a kid into a petting zoo they're so stuffed with
cuddly little Tasmanian Duck-billed Hippos.
