A bit of a preamble: I have a Mirror RAID drive on my computer comprised of two WD 1 gb Caviar drives. Sometime after booting up, it can be a minute or two to as much as ten minutes or more, the drive literally disappears from the directory tree and becomes inaccessible. The RAID is managed by the motherboard. Any ideas of why and how to fix it are greatly appreciated. I'm not worried about losing the data, but it's somewhat frustrating. thanks bill -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
As an addendum to this, I can still hear the hard drives working. The
only spin drives I have on this machine is the RAID, everything else is SSD.
