Ahar! Just emerged actually. Saw the Shirley Baker exhibition. Felt a rather close tie to it as I would have been a toddler in the early 1960s in Manchester while she was flitting about with her Rollieflex - although not in the slums of Salford. We lived in a brand new semi-detached house in Urmston as my father was just starting out his career in a newfangled and burgeoning industry: electronics (after coming out of the RAF).
