I think the extreme curve of the lad's back as he is bending over - in addition to being slender and thinking that he was even more lean than the camera would report drew my concern. Yet I was
very thin as a kid too- and though healthy some adults worried...

YEah - I love the boat shot - and I shall have a good weekend - about to make some blue cornmeal tortillas for stacked cheese enchilladas.. when I win the lottery - i'll send you blue corn flour :-)

I want to believe you, Ann. I really do!

Nice photos, but that young lad is awfully thin and I find the photo sad as a
result...
not as much with the portrait of him ...
He was not unhealthy looking, to my eyes at least.
We had a short talk while I was asking him whether he would allow me
take a photo him.
His personality was also unexpectedly warm for someone of his age who
could spend about two hours totally alone (except for our short
conversation) fishing.

but also nice, andless emotional, is "The Blue Boat" - if you showed
that to list already, I must have been a f k I found it by accident assuming
that if
I hit the arrow I would have gotten to the second photo below. I think it is
stunning.

BLue boat is here, guys

Thank you very much for your comment on this image, Ann.
In fact, I do like it a lot. I don't know why I did not share it here.
It is also from that same trip; a day before or after, perhaps.

I feel less confident when color is involved.
This scene, however, almost forced me to shoot.
Just like the Cle(p)topathra-the-cat who was a few steps ahead.

Have a nice weekend, by the way :)

Two images of the same setting.

Both toned monochromes.

The below scene reminded me of my childhood and my dreams of becoming
just another Huckleberry Finn:
