I recently got a nearly new camera for very little money. Embarrassingly
little money. Camera with a couple of hundred shutter activations, all boxed
as new, with all the original packing. Still works perfectly. I'll tell you
that it takes a CF card and you'll know it is an *ist D.

I still have a new unused D-BG1 grip for it, which I found some three or so
years after I'd sold my *ist D. I had forgotten how good a camera it is, and
given how much it was new at the time, it should feel that way. Going to see
how it gets on over the next few weeks, I still have the 16-35mm kit lens
somewhere.

I also finally found out what that daft name was supposed to mean. The '*'
is a symbol for a wildcard, and the 'ist' ends the wildcard word, such as
Scientist, Artist etc... So still a daft name and now I know it was a daft
idea for a name too.
