My latest eBay purchase came in the mail today, and it's a beaut! A Sigma 50-200 3.5-4.5 APO one-touch zoom. It's absolutely mint - even the case is mint. The vendor says he bought it about 1985, and used it twice, and I believe it. I've read some good things about it - it's supposed to be pretty sharp for a zoom. I'm hoping since it's an older metal-barrel one, that Sigma's well-known mechanical unreliability won't apply here. I saw one for $375 US at some on-line shop, but that seems a bit steep. I paid $60US, so I think I got a good deal. Saw one (with a C**** mount) BIN for $100 about a week after I won mine, so I feel pretty good. I know what I'm doing this weekend - well, actually the same as every weekend, but this time I'll be doing it with my new zoom! regards, frank -- "The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds.
