You done good, Bill. Ebay is still the best deal in town if you control
your emotions. And it's particularly good for large format items. But
other bargains are still out there and waiting to be found.,I bought a
3036 Bogen tripod and 3036 head today for $160. Last week I bought a new
in the box 3046 head for $40. I'll sell the 3036 head for the same
amount, and I'll have a $400 tripod for $200.
What we have to be careful of is announcing every good deal here
before it's consumated. That just drives the price up. If you're looking
for something, watch ebay. If you're not shopping and you spot
something, keep it to yourself. Those who work hard to uncover thos rare
bargains in auction sales should also reap the rewards. In brief, don't
alert the list to good buys. It only drives the price up.
