Didn't see it on first post, but I looked at it today. 

1- David Burnett's 4x5 work is delightful. 

2- This was an interesting view of the fact that focus stacking and stitching 
can be very effective tools. Of course, using them with the Pentax comparing to 
a single exposure with the Nikon begs the question: Why not use them with the 
Nikon and get that much MORE resolution and cleanliness?  ;-) Plus, of course, 
the fact that a multi-exposure, composited image is utterly different from a 
live image captured in one snap except for very static subjects. 

These are useful techniques to know and use, when apropos, but my time shooting 
and processing is worth quite a lot—I'd likely just save up for the Nikon 
rather than plan many photos that require ten to twenty minutes of capture and 
another half hour or more of processing to begin. But that's a personal 
decision.
