Thanks to all for the kind words. I hadn't planned on talking about Marlene's decline, but I realized my angry tone and aberrant behavior had probably signaled that all was not right. I'm doing okay overall and Marlene is weak but not in great pain. I've had a long time to prepare for the inevitable and will manage through to the end. I just hope it remains relatively painless. Gracie is fine, distracted by school and childhood struggled, and my children are at least supportive, although absent for the most part. Thanks again for the support.
