It's a cool building - the steam lift is 3 stories tall and the building is 
entirely poured concrete - even the roof. The windows are quartz.  A few 
years ago the owners would let you just wander around the lift, but now its 
part of a structured tourist walk-through.

This shot does show that the lens is pretty rectalinear and while flare can 
be a problem, it did not suffer from the backlighting of the windows.
