Sylwester, I purchased a General brand K-mount-to-screw adapter from B&H Photo several years ago. I found the construction to be as Maciej has described below... and I also found that it would not focus at infinity. In this case, a simple telephone call was all that was required to have B&H credit the purchase price (and the postage costs) to a new one of Pentax manufacture. I can also surmise that this may cause a problem, especially with those photo dealers that may be a bit "less reputable" than B&H.
Currently, I have two of the Pentax adapters. I use them quite frequently, on both my K2DMDs and my LXs, with my 500mm and 1000mm Takumar lenses. They function well and provide excellent results.
