Smugmug caused me no small amount of grief when they "improved" the site
- again, probably due to eagerness to make things
work better on a phone or pad and screw those of us who only have "real"
computers :-)
But working on my new calendar I found a way to do it their wayand mine
. Figuring that the default smugmug appearance
of little thumbnails on the left and the first photo enlarged on the
right was hard to see on a phone, I used something called
"collage landscape" - and because I captioned all the photos for
printing each photo is the same size(the white border could be slightly
different depending on photo, but the outside dimension remains the
same.) .
This resulted in my seeing 4 across on a row and no need to scroll to
see all 12 photos , though at 100% in browser I need to scroll to see
the cover...
A programmer at smugmug wrote some code to take the annoying floatover
caption off the photos when you are viewing the photo enlarged...
it still comes up floating over the thumbs...
I also noted that two who wanted to order a calendar were looking at the
photos on their phones and both asked how to proceed to
order . That signaled me that the "Description" line on the gallery was
either not showing up or was too small or faint to read.. sooo
I have now changed the font to BOLD in the description line and added
the calendar size more specifically too
DOes that help?
