The constraints on my movement due to the surgery are slowly lifting. Yesterday I was able to get in and out of the car with minimal trouble, so I had AAA over to jump start it (three weeks of sitting unused doesn't make modern cars with all their security and other systems very happy) and took a lovely couple of hour drive down the coast and back home to get the battery nicely charged up.
