I prefer the new version. The sky/clouds of the first one wasn't such a bother to me but I found there wasn't enough tonal contrast between machine and background. It needed to jump put from the trees, and that wasn't happening in version 1.0.
Version 1.1 is a huge improvement in tonality and to my eyes I can distinguish between dinosaur and background much better now. I really like this photo! Very interesting subject - I mean who doesn't like old machines? I like the feeling that the old beast has been put out to pasture, quite literally. The texture is palpable. And I love the way it frames the billboard. I'm not sure what it means, but I'm sure some symbolism could be found in there somewhere. LOL! All in all this is a keeper, and much improved over the original IMHO. Cheers, frank On November 7, 2015 1:16:27 AM EST, "P.J.
