Paul, please accept my sincere condolences.

I speak from some experience when I say that there are some holes in
our hearts that can never be fully healed, but we can celebrate the
chapters of our lives that were written alongside them and, in the
wake of their loss, turn our attention to the generations of our
family that will be writing the chapters to follow ours. Celebrate the
memories of the good times and please take some solace from knowing
that you were there for her through to the end. That is True Love.

It is also wonderful that you could make it possible for her to avoid
the impersonal setting of a hospital for her final days and weeks.
That is no small accomplishment. I feel confident in speaking for most
here, that we feel honored that you have shared what you have with us,
and we hope we can, in some small (and inadequate) way, share with you
in bearing the immense burden of your grief.

Respectfully,
Darren Addy
