Thanks, Alan! The resolution in this scene surprised me. It was shot from a considerable distance and was unexpected. All such wildlife shooting is hand held, but in this case I was leaning against a fence. Even though it was barbed wire I was probably gingerly resting the camera on the top wire.(?) Also, I "never" shoot jpeg, but I had been dinking with B&W and had forgotten to reset to DNG. I did, however, have the K-3 set set to top res.
