Taken from the safety of a car looking down an embankment. Foot safaris with
an armed ranger are available at a price. We still get lions passing through
town. In recent years two horses & a refugee from Mozambique have succumbed.
There was also an amazing case of a young black girl & her little brother
found wandering in Kruger not far from here after their parents had been
killed by lions. On a lighter note, a story about lion sightings in town was
published in the local newspaper to discourage ladies of the night from
certain neighbourhoods.
