Thanks, Rick.

The Trip back to Hanover last weekend reminded me how much I loved
rowing 50 years ago, and what an incredible sport it is, The best
explanation of the physical and spiritual aspects of rowing is found
in a book that came out just over a year ago: The Boys in the Boat:
Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin
Olympics

I'm too old and too soft for competitive 8 oar rowing, so I content
myself with an early morning paddle one or two times a week when I go
to Maui in the Winter, with the Kihei Canoe Club:

Of course, we can't lift a 550 pound outrigger canoe over our heads
like those young ladies are doing in my image. <G>
