No, I'm talking about "Polaroid" products, that film isn't branded as
Polaroid. It's a bit like Emerson(sp), in the 1980's at one time they
(probably, in the 50's and 60's IIRC), made pretty decent , middle of
the road audio equipment, but the original company went bankrupt. The
name lived on as a holding company milked all the residual good will the
name had, selling the rights to any third rate junk manufacturer. That's
what Polaroid, and to some extent Kodak has become today.
The impossible project film is kinda awesome, though they'd really be
awesome if they managed to somehow start making the old peal apart film
with a usable negative for view cameras.
As a matter of fact ...

The New55 film project is (I think) an offshoot of the Impossible Film
project.
It's supposed to be an improvement over the original Polaroid Type-55 in
that you don't have to choose whether you're going to develop for print
OR negative. Their goal is to make a film that provides both.

If you're talking about Polaroid FILM, the film from the Impossible Film
Project is definitely NOT an inferior product.

Didn't the last manufacture of Rollie cameras go bankrupt last year,
and their stock was supposed to be liquidated? So this could be
like Polaroid, an old well loved name, slapped on an inferior
product.
