Thanks. I am also quite amazed at the resolution of this lens at macro
distances and also at the complete lack of chromatic aberrations. It is
a top notch performer on APS-C sensors - quite remarkable for an optic
that is 38-40 years old, depending on its actual manufacture date. It is
definitely my go to lens for anything that is 3x lifesized or more. When
I ordered it I wondered if I was being foolishly loyal to Pentax, since
enlarger lenses are generally recommended for this kind of work. But I
think it was a good choice.
