I can understand hiring a photographer, but the "large format, B&W" strikes me as rather odd. They don't expect today's cavalry members to ride horses, so why not use up to date equipment for photographers? Seems they are after the romance of the past over practicalities. How much are they allowing for expenses, like renting burros and local sherpas?
