It's true... although it didn't look as bad as I expected on the K2. Pity
my focus screen is out of alignment but most of the pics I'm taking here
are focussed on inifinity with the 35mm.

Oh yes, its NZ$1800 back home, in fact they're probably over $2000 now as
my last price is getting a bit old.

At least I did spend some money there, but only a little. I resisted
buying a 24-35 zoom and a 1.7x TC and even a 35mm f/2.0. I bought some
cheap Reala, spent all of about 35 pounds :)

Had another play with an MZ-S but I'd need to sit down with the manual to
really figure it out. I am too used to the Z-1p.

Go to NZ and you'll find out what a bad train system is like. In fact
there is no passenger train service south of Christchurch now except a trip
for the tourists in Dunedin. There is no commuter rail south of
Wellington.

And it wasn't even me who bought them. That Helios lens is a real tank. I
guess you can't remount the Arsat now, just think of all the time, effort
and broken AF 1.7x adaptors that you've been saved from. Now are you sure
you want to sell that MZ-S? :)

When in London yesterday I thought I could have used one of your 24-35
zooms. Got a bit tired of swapping primes. But I couldn't bear to think
of not using my SMCP 35/3.5, unless I was using a 31 Limited of course.

Didn't have time to hunt down any other camera shops but most shops seem to
be closed on Sundays anyway. Will return to London later.

Cheers,

- Dave, back in Bognor for now.
