It's on sale for just a shade over 30 bucks; you can batch process with
it and it comes with a plug-in so you can call it up from within Lightroom.

Interesting, I downloaded the demo and tried a couple of quick experiments. It seems to do much more of the tone mapping by default, rather than the Adobe simply expanding the dynamic range. A quick RTFM seems to imply that it can generate the expanded range raw files, but the free demo says that it only produces jpegs.

I'll have to take a closer look at it, but right now I don't have quite enough free time to save that much time.
