Egad, that is indeed tacky! Sounds like something Disney would do. At least Newton has a proper memorial in Westminster Abby. When we visited there, my wife and I sought all the memorials to scientists and authors, but we couldn't find Newton's. I asked a docent, and he smiled and waved his arm in a large upward sweep, saying, "Why, there it is!"
