1. Buy and carry sufficient film to photograph the entire event.

2. 2fps winders chew through more film than I realized (see item 1).

3. My "new" FB1/FC1 Action finder for the LX works REALLY, REALLY well.

5. KEH Bargain Grade is nothing to be afraid of (see items 2 and 3).

4. Ritz Camera should be avoided at all cost (unless: see item 1).

5. I wish I had bought that monopod I saw the other day.

6. Getting transparency film "cut and sleeved" is sooooo much better than
having the slides mounted. Scanning is better and dust control is more
effective.

7. High shutter speeds (1/500 and faster) are great for stopping action but
sometimes a blurred background is better than everything "frozen". I'm a
bit disappointed that the sense of speed is missing from some racing shots.

8. Testing 4 lenses (my "new" Sigma AF 300/4 APO Macro and 28-70/3.5-5.6
Tamron and Paul Stregevsky's 300/4.5 Rikenon and 400/5.6 SMC-A) is fun but a
lot of work especially when I was also acting as "crew" for a friend's
racecar.

8a. "racecar" is the longest single word palindrome in the English language.

9. I need a bigger camera bag (see Item 8).

10. I need to go to bed (see Item 8a)

Good night!

10a. My spell checker just tried to change Tamron to Tampon.
