If they're the same red squirrels that infest the New Hampshire mountains, they're awful. They have a chattering, mocking call; and as soon as they know you're not looking they're into your food bag, taking little nibbles from everything and leaving squirrel shit behind. Bear-proofing the food bag by hanging it out of reach doesn't faze these rodent spawns of Satan a bit.
