Hey Cotty, BTW: it's Micro-FourThirds mount; FourThirds mount was the SLR lens mount. Several of the Olympus lenses include distance-marked focusing rings, none of them have on-lens aperture rings. A few Panasonic lenses include on-lens aperture rings but these controls only work on Panasonic bodies (the aperture settings are made with on-body controls with Olympus bodies). But … The best known set of entirely manual, prime lenses designed for Micro-FourThirds are the Voigtländer lenses: Voigtlander Nokton 10.5mm f/0.95 Lens for Micro Four Thirds http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1160237-REG/voigtlander_ba328a_10_5mm_for_0_95_m43.html Voigtlander Nokton 17.5mm f/0.95 Lens for Micro 4/3 Cameras http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/855215-REG/Voigtlander_BA175M_Nokton_17_5mm_f_0_95_Lens.html Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95 Type II Lens for Micro Four Thirds http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1044065-REG/voigtlander_ba259m2_nokton_25mm_f_0_95_type.html Voigtlander Nokton 42.5mm f/0.95 Micro Four Thirds Lens http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1000625-REG/voigtlander_ba425m_nokton_42_5mm_f_0_95_micro.html These are all outstanding performers, all manual focus-manual aperture control, and beautifully constructed. The "equivalent" focal length multiplier is 2x so they constitute a great set of four ultra-fast primes: 21, 35, 50, and 85 mm EFoVs. Beyond those, there are a number of high quality cine lenses designed for Micro-FourThirds mount from Samyang, Rokinon, and Zeiss. Just go to the B&H Photo/Video (http://www.bhphotovideo.com) website and search for "cine lens for micro" and you'll get about 20-30 hits. These are all manual focus, manual aperture lenses, usually with geared focus and aperture rings, usually stepless aperture rings too. So, there are a number of choices available for the mount, and more … but never mind mount adapters. :-) An Olympus Pen-F body with the set of Voigtländer lenses would be a superb performing kit. G The trouble with being punctual is that nobody's there to appreciate it. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
