Team Fizzball's colors were black and pink. Some folks at SCO had seen
this cartoon and thought it would be fun to play:

When they started putting a car together to run in el-cheapo enduros at
Watsonville, they named their team Fizzball and decided that black and
pink would be a good color scheme. A couple years later, after I
started racing I started hanging out with them through other circles,
and when they started road racing they kept the team concept of having
too much fun.
