I was going to make the same comment. At web sizes there's really no discernible difference. Heck, I can't find a lot of difference between finished K20D and K-5II images that are reasonably well exposed within the limits of their respective ISO ranges, and heck there's a really big difference in those files especially in dynamic range.

K20D files can best be described as brittle, bend them too much and they break.

It's when you manipulate them that the K-5II really shows how much better it is.

I expect that it's those differences that are coloring Larry's perceptions of the differences between the K-3 and D810.

However on paper, (OK so I read them on a screen), those differences seem to be much less than those between the K20D and K-5II.

The biggest difference looks to me to be the largest size 300dpi print can be produced from either body. Which after a certain point doesn't really show up on the web.

I don't see a significant difference, except that they seem to handle the stage

Am I missing something?

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I had the chance to shoot with a
friend's D810. I've finally cleared enough off my stack to process the photos
from that night.

Here are the shots I got with my cameras:

Here are the photos I took with the D810:

The links should work for anyone, whether or not you have a facebook account.
Processing the files with the D810 and comparing them side by side with the K-3
and K-5 frames make me very eager to see what the K-1 will be able to do.
