Dave,
As Rob wrote, there shouldn't be any issues.
But here are two thoughts for your consideration:
1. You can create individual google accounts for each phone, and then add
the "common" google account for accessing the Gmail in it.
2. You can use Gmail's own app for access e-mail or you can use a 3rd party
e-mail app (I really love Aquamail).
But if you are going to choose a 3rd party app, when connecting your Gmail
account in it, make sure you use "IMAP" connection (as opposed to "pop3"). This
would prevent a bunch of unnecessary headaches.
Cheers,
Igor

Yep, there's no issue running the same gmail account on multiple
devices from my experience, just beware that if you wish to change the
primary account at a later date the device will have to be reset.

Hi all
Sorry for the OT just wanted to toss this out there.
I recently bought an unlocked BLU Studio G running kitkat 4.4 to
upgrade my wife's flip phone pay as you go account. It has no data
plan just talk and text which is fine. I kinda like the phone and am
thinking of now getting one for myself. It takes the mini and micro
sim cards which we have the mini.We both share the same google email,
so basically the same account then. Any one doing this,?? problems.
My plan is an emergency plan, 20 free min with a bonus of another 20
min for $10 a month, and $0.15 a text
