Its a shame. Why buy re-badged lens at 1.5 times the price? We believe Ricoh-Pentax is hand in glove with Tamron in preventing them sell some lenses in the Pentax mount. This is illegal in India as ruled by the Monopolies Commission.
We do understand that volumes keep away Manufacturers from making Pentax mount lenses, but I am dumb founded, as today's manufacturing policies dictate "Produce one, sell one". You see the basic optics are the same. Only the mount, flange distance and the chip varies. In fact lenses for Pentax need not have the optical shake reduction system. Perhaps a Public Service Petition can wake some of these manufacturers?
