I've only ordered from KEH maybe a half dozen times, but have always had a good experience with the stuff arriving in as-expected (or better) condition. However, my F 1.7x TC arrived and the rear elements seemed to be separating around the perimeter. Very noticable, and it was rated EXC when I purchased it. So, back it went. The return process was pretty painless (they pay the postage) and they've confirmed that they've received it back... so now it is just another 3-5 days before I actually get the refund.
In the meantime, I sort of accidentally bought a 2nd one from an eBay seller in Canada. With the dollar conversion differences, I got the Canadian one for $68 less than the KEH. It arrived today and it is FLAWLESS. Just a gorgeous copy. I'm curious to go try it out on some Sandhill Cranes, which are back here along the Platte. Will be interesting to see if any of the rare Whooping Cranes are sighted with them in the coming weeks.
